Action! Adventure! Popsicles! Bike Camp!
Once again we are gearing up for a fantastic summer of adventures and fun for our 2011 Bike Camp!
After sitting in a classroom all year, campers can join us for an action-packed week of rides, hands-on mechanical lessons and adventures all through Portland. Through Bike Camp, your child’s confidence, knowledge, and skills grow in a safe, creative and supportive team environment.
“I love how physical it is, and how it teaches kids how to ride in traffic, take their bikes on the MAX and then they are confident and I am confident about my son taking the bus/MAX himself…LOVE the program” – 2010 Urban Rider Parent
New this year:
- We are happy to announce that we will be partnering with Icicle Tricycles to provide locally made treats for our campers.
- We are excited to introduce a new camp: Confident Coasters. This camp is designed for returning Coasters to build upon their knowledge and ride to new destinations.
- This year we are excited to partner with Friends of Trees, so campers can learn more about the relationship between bikes and environmental stewardship.
“Our son LOVED Bike Camp. We chose the camp because our son loves biking and loves learning to fix things. You gave him both experiences. This camp had among the best content of anything we have sent him to. The councilors seemed very engaged and enthusiastic” – 2010 Coaster Parent
Each week-long camp session costs $275.00 plus an $8.00 registration fee. Campers begin and end each day at the Community Cycling Center neighborhood bike shop on the corner of NE 17th and Alberta. Camp hours are 9am until 3pm. You can sign up your child starting on February 1st online or call 503.288.8864.
