Another Beautiful Worst Day Ride
When we laugh at the weather, it laughs back! Sunday February 10th brought yet another beautiful dry day for the sold-out Worst Day of the Year Ride, proving that even if you’re prepared to face the rain, the rain may not be prepared to face you.
In any case, it was the perfect day for a ride, and fun was had by all 2,000 riders (That’s right — 2,000!) who came out to have a good time and support the Community Cycling Center.
Highlights included delicious rest stops at REI, Hollywood Bike Gallery, and Community Cycling Center. A big thanks to Lucky Lab and Laughing Planet who provided the scrumptious chili and corn chowder, and to the 150 volunteers who made the event a success…especially you chili-stirrers. That was hard work!
Worst Day Ride aficionados will be interested to know that 60% of the riders this year were old pros and have ridden in the ride before. So, for those of you who didn’t make it out this year, remember that 1,200 people decided to come back and do it again! Sounds like you should sign up early next year…
