Create a Commuter Connects Those in Need
Last week, Jay Dean, Adult Program Coordinator and Mary Dzieweczynski, Program Director, headed out to the Portland Homeless Connect event at the Oregon Convention Center. Their mission was to let homeless and low-income Portlanders know about our Create a Commuter Program, which provides free maintenance and safety training and fully outfitted commuter bikes for eligible participants. The event was a great forum for providing education about transportation options, and by the end of the day, Jay and Mary gathered 22 new registrations and 65 new referrals for the Create a Commuter program!
