The Community Cycling Center’s Spoke Sustainers monthly giving program directly supports our most impactful and notable youth and community events, including Bike Camp, Club, and community bike drives. All youth programming and community bike drives serve children and youth historically marginalized by racism, sexism, xenophobia, and/or living on low incomes in Northeast and East Portland. 100% of program participants identify as BIPOC, Latiné, and/or living on low incomes.
Our programs team directly engages with children and youth in small group settings, teaching them how to safely navigate their own neighborhoods, empowering them with essential biking skills, and fostering a sense of independence and confidence. Through interactive workshops, guided rides, and mentorship opportunities, we strive to create a supportive environment where young people can not only explore the joy of cycling but also develop and build relationships within their communities. By investing in our mission, you’re not just supporting individual children and youth, but also contributing to the creation of a more equitable and inclusive Portland for all.
Spoke Sustainers are a community of supporters committed to ensuring the continuity of the CCC. $30 per month ensures that every participant in our no-cost youth programs receives a high quality helmet and other essential cycling equipment–including the bike itself.
As a member of the Spoke Sustainers, you’re not just a donor; you’re a champion of our mission to broaden access to bicycling. Together, we’re shaping a future where everyone–regardless of background–can thrive, building healthier, more connected communities one pedal stroke at a time.
Your support matters: By donating $30 a month, you become a cornerstone of ensuring the next 30 years of the Community Cycling Center.
Together, we pave the way for another three decades of enriching lives through cycling, creating a legacy of inclusivity and empowerment for generations ahead. Join us in shaping a future where every pedal propels us toward a more equitable and vibrant community.
