Holiday Bike Drive Gets Ambitious
We got a little excited while registering children for our Holiday Bike Drive! Instead of signing up 500 kids, we signed up 519 — with the help of over 65 individual caseworkers, schools, and community organizations. Not to worry though, because Volunteer and Events Manager (and winner of the Skidmore Prize) Neal Armstrong assures us that with the help of our fantastic volunteers, who have already donated 1,538 hours of work, we will have plenty of bikes to give away on the day of the event.
Also, we’re a little more than halfway through our goal of raising $46,000! If you’re considering a donation, now’s the time! Be sure to donate through the Give!Guide by December 31. Any gift of $25 or more will get you an envelope in the mail worth several times that-including TriMet bus tickets, free coffee, and lots of discounts from local businesses.
