Join us at the 12th annual Worst Day of the Year Ride
By Melinda Musser, Communications & Marketing Manager
It’s time to gather your friends, brainstorm your costume, and most importantly, register, because the 12th annual Worst Day of the Year Ride is happening on February 10th and it is not to be missed. The ride – a benefit for the Community Cycling Center – has quickly become Portland’s favorite wintertime tradition. This year, registration is capped at 4,000 people – be sure to register early and save your spot!
The rousing beats of the Last Regiment Drum Corps will send you off on an 18-mile odyssey around downtown Portland. You’ll be kept warm and comfy at every turn with belly-nourishing treats including hot cocoa, doughnuts, organic fruit, chai tea, coffee, bagels, hot cider and much more.
This is a great event for all types of riders. Need a bigger challenge? Try the 45-mile course traversing the West Hills out to Hillsboro. Both rides offer plenty of treats and warm drinks along the way.
If you register online by February 8th, you’ll receive a discount. Register early because it will sell out.
New this year: register for the Worst Day of the Year Ride at our bike shop from Jan 2nd to February 8th, and receive a $5 off coupon for the ride plus 25% off winter apparel in our shop — rain gear, hats, gloves, and more!
The Worst Day of the Year Ride is a benefit for us, so ride and help build a vibrant community where people of all backgrounds use bicycles to stay healthy and connected. Visit www.WorstDayRide.com for more information.
