Meet Our New Executive Director
We’re pleased to introduce Ruben Alvarado as Community Cycling Center’s new Executive Director.
Before joining the Community Cycling Center, Ruben served as an executive leader, elected official, and in various roles providing direct services to communities. In his most recent role, he led a youth development organization through significant growth and transformation. Ruben found cycling like many do, out of necessity. What began as the cheapest way to commute to school soon became a positive highlight of his day. With a passion for nonprofit leadership and community development, Ruben brings extensive experience to the role of Executive Director at the Community Cycling Center.
Having Ruben join us now is particularly exciting as we broach a historical transition: we’re celebrating 30 years of broadening access to bicycling! Most importantly, Ruben is excited to meet YOU! Join us in celebrating our 30th Anniversary on July 27th at Alberta Park where we’ll have bike-themed carnival games, tasty treats, cold drinks, and Ruben, ready to connect with as many members of the community as possible.
