Ride with us at the Worst Day of the Year Ride
It’s almost time for our favorite benefit of the year! The Worst Day of the Year Ride on February 13th has quickly become Portland’s favorite wacky wintertime tradition. The rousing beats of the Last Regiment Drum Corps will send thousands of riders off on an odyssey around Portland, including awesome themed rest stops and enough costumes to rival Mardi Gras.
By participating in the Worst Day of the Year Ride, you support the Community Cycling Center and all of our programs. This year’s event is extra special because we’re celebrating the ride’s 10th anniversary. Show your support for the Community Cycling Center by participating in “Ride for 10 at 10”. Just wear a 10 somewhere on your person- on your shirt, your helmet, your giant earrings, hanging from your handlebars- and start the ride at 10:00 am with other supporters.
You can also download a Ride for 10 sign right here to hang on your bike or jacket:

You’ll be kept warm and comfy at every turn with belly-nourishing treats including hot cocoa, doughnuts, organic fruit, chai tea, coffee, bagels, hot cider and much more. Laughing Planet Cafe, experts in wholesome yumminess, is cooking up a finish line meal featuring local, sustainable and organic soups served with fresh focaccia bread.
Want more of a challenge? The optional 45-mile route loop traverses the west hills out to Hillsboro. The ride is limited to 4,000 riders and it will sell out, so register early to ensure a spot. This event starts and finishes at the Lucky Labrador at 915 SE Hawthorne.
We can’t wait to see you there! Visit the Worst Day of the Year Ride website for more information and to register.
