STEM Bike Class Program Update
We’re currently teaching bicycle mechanics in two schools this Spring Term– Helensview and Alliance Highschool at Meek. We just started working with Meek this winter and they’ve been nothing but great to collaborate with! Many students are returning students from Winter Term which means that they’ll get to keep practicing the skills they’ve learned the past two months as well as help out their fellow classmates who are new to Bike Class. That’s one of the coolest things about this program! Not only do students learn by doing, they have the opportunity to learn by teaching as well.
In other news, we recently wrapped up a 10-week-long program at Rosemary Anderson Highschool. The class went for a bike ride on the last day even though it was raining, and enjoyed some burritos in celebration. Pictured here is part of the group enjoying the soggy ride(burritos not pictured).
Riley, Nat, Maddie, and Nissy make up our dream team behind this year’s STEM Bike Class. It wouldn’t be possible without their patience, caring, and humor. Good luck with Spring-Term!
More updates from the classroom coming soon!
