Bikes ‘n’ BBQ Bash this Saturday!
We are joining forces with the Russell Street Bar-B-Que once again to promote a healthy community by combining our two favorite things: bicycles and barbecue. Add a dash of live music, free bike repair, valet bike parking, bike photography, and a bunch of neighbors and we promise the result will be unforgettable.
Our volunteer mechanics will be set up to perform quick fixes and safety checks while you enjoy barbecue sandwiches and great music. A special photo area will be set up for bike portraits aiming to capture the diversity of bicycles and people who live and ride in our neighborhood. We will also be shooting footage for a web video – come be a star!
All proceeds from the event will benefit our bicycle safety programs.
What: 2nd Annual Bikes ‘n’ BBQ Bash
When: Saturday, June 27th, 11am – 2pm
Why: To celebrate a safe and healthy summer with good food, bike safety checks, live music, and more
Where: Community Cycling Center, 1700 NE Alberta
Cost: $5 recommended donation (but no one will be turned away because of an inability to pay)
Valet bike parking will be available. Please bring your own eating utensils (cup, plate, napkin) if you are able to help us keep plastic and paper waste to a minimum.
