Getting to know: Timothy Weeks
Timothy Weeks began working at our bike shop as a Seasonal Mechanic this past Spring, bringing with him an impressive resume of repair experience. He’s had “a long passion revolving around bicycles,” since childhood. Before joining our team, he was a founding worker-owner of A Better Cycle in SE Portland. His years of experience make him a used bike genius. When Tim is working on your bike, you know you’re in good hands.
What do you like best about working here?
One of the best things about working at the CCC is the passion people who work here have for bikes. It is a great environment and crew to work with.
What is your job title? What do you do?
My job title is seasonal mechanic, and I do it all. Build bikes, repair bikes, help customers, help customers repair bikes and keep things flowing around the shop.
What’s your favorite kind of repair job to do?
By far my favorite type of repair has to be the double frame swap. There is none greater or more challenging that the double frame swap, one minute you think you’re doing a tube change then whoops double frame swap! Outta nowhere, bam! Never saw it coming.
What is your dream bike?
Honestly, the bikes that are in my dreams that I have yet to build.
If your bike could have a magical power, what would it be?
Super life save auto-bailout.
