Bike Shop Expansion Campaign: We did it!
We are incredibly grateful to our supporters for investing so mightily in our shop expansion and renovation. With the help of 23 individuals, families and businesses, we have reached our fundraising goal by successfully raising $30,000 in six weeks.
Our bike shop nearly doubled in size after a neighboring nonprofit, Oregon Tradeswomen, moved to a larger building, enabling us to expand our production space into 1714 NE Alberta. For years, our adult and youth programs have been limited by the number of bicycles we are able to produce and the revenue generated by our bike shop has also been capped due to space constraints. Expanding our bike shop and adding additional production space will allow us to double our program partners over the next three years as we will be able to produce more bicycles. We will also be able to increase opportunities to engage highly skilled volunteers in program bicycle production. To read more details on our shop remodel and expansion, please see our previous post, Volunteers Power Our Remodel.
The community is invited to come in and celebrate the new shop space at the upcoming Shop Warming Party on April 29th. We are looking forward to showing you the new space!
