Great bikes at the shop – Week of July 4
Every day, our fabulous supporters donate bikes to us. Some are built up for our community programs, some are tuned up and refurbished to be sold at our shop, and others are left “as-is†and sold at a low-cost to DIY’ers. As always, we have a great selection of bikes available for purchase. Check out some of our favorites below. And don’t forget, our refurbished bikes always include a 3-month warranty, so you can ride with confidence, and know that your purchase supports our adult and youth bicycle programs.
If you’re particularly tall or short, you know how difficult it can be to find a quality bike that fits you. Well, you’re in luck! We have a number of extra small and extra large bikes at the shop currently. First, we have this sleek, retro Univega Arrow Pace. This bike is 44cm and ready to ride. The strong but lightweight steel frame can take you anywhere you need to go, near or far, for $495.
Next, for those in need of a larger bike, we have this 59cm Giant FCR for $615. If you’re participating in any long challenge rides this summer, this bike is perfect for you. It’s all-aluminum frame is extremely lightweight.
Do you have lots of out-of-town guests this summer? Maybe it’s time to get an inexpensive second bike to loan your visitors. This 17†Specialized Hard Rock is sold “as is†for only $95. Our friendly staff members will explain the repairs that this bicycle will need to get road ready and then you can fix it yourself or leave the bike with us to make the necessary repairs.. The strong steel frame would make this ride a great commuter or cargo bike.
If you’re looking for a stylish new commuter bike, this 80’s fabulous Terra Tech could be for you. It’s 16†and only $385. The pearly blue paint job is set off perfectly with a lavender bottle cage and glow in the dark handlebar grips. With a bike this cool, you better be prepared to get more compliments than you can handle.
Have you been searching for the right bike for a young adult in your life? Maybe it’s someone who’s outgrown their kid’s bike and is ready for something with more gears and power. This 16†GT Talera could be just the right bike. It features a blue and white splatter paint job- and the stem is even painted to match. It’s sold “as is†for a mere $50. It will need a little bit of work to be road-ready, but we’re happy to help you with that.
Finally, a little goody from one of our used parts bins. This BiSaddle is in like-new condition and priced at only $40 – they sell for $80 new. While its unique design might seem strange at first, if you read this New York Times article from last week on saddles and personal health, you may be convinced it’s time to switch. Come snap this one up while you can!
We have many more bikes, accessories, and new and used parts available at our bike shop. We’re open from 10:00am-7:00pm, seven days a week. Our friendly staff is ready to help you find just the right bicycle, so stop in soon!
